Ingredients of Sweet Vermicelli

  1. You need 100gms. of Vermicelli.
  2. It’s 1/2 cup of sugar.
  3. It’s 5-6 tbsps of melted pure ghee.
  4. You need 8 of cardamoms (seeds removed and gound coarsely).
  5. Prepare 6-8 of almond finely chopped.
  6. You need 2 cups of water.

Sweet Vermicelli step by step

  1. Transfer the sugar into a deep pan.
  2. Add 1 cup water to the sugar..
  3. Coarsely grind cardamom..
  4. Add the cardamom seeds to the sugar and water mixture.
  5. Place the pan on a high flame to let the sugar syrup get ready.
  6. Place the kadai pan on to a high flame.
  7. Add pure ghee into the kadai.
  8. Add the vermicelli into the ghee.
  9. Stir the vermicelli in the ghee on a low flame for 10-12 minutes or till done.
  10. Add the sugar syrup in the vermicelli..
  11. Let the vermicelli cook in the water.
  12. Stir until the water has evaporated.
  13. Cover the kadai with a lid and let the vermicelli steam for 4-5 minutes on a low flame.
  14. Garnish the sweet seviyan with chopped almonds..
  15. Serve hot..
