- Make pasta according to box directions, reserve a little water for thinning sauce if needed.
- In large skillet/saute pan, fry bacon bits and render as much fat as possible.
- Scoop out bacon and drain on paper towel and add chopped onion and garlic to bacon fat.
- After garlic and onions have softened, add mushrooms and season with thyme, salt and seasonings.
- After mushrooms have softened a bit add ricotta cheese, half and half, and bouillion cube and stir to incorporate.
- If sauce too thick, ladle some pasta water to thin it out.
